ok hi! sorry it's been kind of a while. the blizzard is melting into a nasty slush of slipperness, salt, and just water everywhere. ugh. this weekend was kinda busy. Had to go to a Spanish thing for several hours on Friday night, then just chilled with some friends down the hall. Saturday I had to work as usual, 8-4, and that was ok but kinda sucked b/c I didn't make good money. Sat. night I went out with some friends and saw The Departed, which just one film of the year... not in my mind. ok. So the actors were great, plot was great, interesting and exciting. HOWEVER. I heard more f-words in that movie than I have in my entire life combined, several times over! 237 I think the number was. Lots of nasty gore, which I covered my eyes for. The other part that I didn't like was the extremely lewd, obscene and vulgar comments used by all the men. Just gross. Every guy I know thought it was awesome; it is DEF. a guy movie. Anyways, after that we went to Wings Etc, which has really good wings! Yummy! Then went back to the boys house and watched Employee of the Month (jessica simpson and dane cook). It actually wasn't that bad. Now the focus was more on Jessica's boobs than her acting, but it was funny in an unrealistic way, and kinda clever. Too long tho. And I know like 500 people that could've acted better than Jessica, including myself. :) Sunday was church and napping, work... the usual.
Tonight has been kind of a wasteful night... two things I had on my schedule didn't happen for various reasons, which is kind of annoying b/c I could've used that time for other things. Oh well.
I'm getting some layers cut in my hair tomorrow. Like a decent size.
I was panicking today about getting either my passport or birth cert. in the mail, but Praise Jesus, I went thru a process online and not only will it be here by the end of the week, but it will cost me wayyy less than the other place. Thank you Lord!
BAHAMAS in less than two weeks! Family too, and Florida!!

| well it is day two of no school for us here at Anderson! This is history, they barely ever close the place down. Today it is soooo bright outside with the sun and all the snow. Perfect day for playing. I really wish I had my boots and snowpants here! It's funny to watch a lot of students try to get out of their parking spots... b/c there is so much snow piled up all in between the cars! We need to have a day just dedicated to digging out your car! Yesterday I actually ventured out and yeah it took awhile to get my car out. More trouble than it was worth. The roads aren't that bad, but the parking lots are! haha! So they plowed a lot more in the parking lot last night and I think I can get my car shoveled out and into a clear spot.
so, yeah, it's Valentines' Day. It really doesn't mean anything to me other than letting people in your life know that you love them. I've never had a boyfriend or anything on a Valentines Day... (i think?) so it doesn't really have any romantic meanings for me. My daddy always gets me a card and some candy and stuff, but I don't think I'm going to be able to get that today b/c the mail center is closed along with everything else! So that kinda stinks. Hopefully tomorrow! My dad will always be my special valentine... and some man is gonna have to be pretty awesome to step in front of him someday! (but i'm ready for that guy, really! LOL)
I was just thinking about love and relationships and all that, and the verses come to mind that say:
If I speak with the tongues of angels, but have not love, I'm only a resounding noise

but have not love... I am nothing

| hey! this week is over. and the weekend almost is too! I just booked my flights for spring break, yay! Both are non-stop too, which I am happy about. Happy with the price too! where am I going you ask? Orlando, Florida and then on an cruise to the Bahamas!!
Last night I hung out around here and then went to Cheap Thrills with some friends... and it is cheap, but not really thrilling. No offense to Dativus and all their work in doing it, but it's almost always more offensive than funny. I don't know why they feel the need to walk that line so closely. It's not necessary really. Things can still be funny without being so risque. Today I was in at IHOP at 8 and was there til 4. Pretty much I never get to sleep in, unless I skip class or church, neither of which I like to do. I do make good money tho. The money I'm making is allowing me to do things and stuff. Like go on a cruise and go to Costa Rica.
Things have gotten kinda screwed up again at home. I don't even know. Make it stop, make it go away. Even living away from home for 2.5 years doesn't remove me enough. I'm always hoping, and wishing for the best but feeling trapped in a vicious whirlpool. I have to keep telling myself God is in control, even of this.
I'm excited about my new apt and roomies next year. I'm so looking forward to being so close to everything and having a huge living room. and I get to live with really great girls! I think it will be good.
I got to see all the Indiana GLM staffers!! It was so great to hang out with Matt, Melody, Paul and Etch while they were recruiting and then seeing the staff. I love them all so much, and they are such a blessing in my life! Like we always said at camp, we should just have Gull Lake University! or something!
I'm remembering this and you should too... all of His promises are true. Each one.

| so I had a really great weekend! Friday night was upperclassmen formal and I went with a big group of friends which was awesome! We all went out to eat at Cici's Pizza before... cheap and buffet! We were all lookin spiffy and I am thanking my friends for all wearing flip flops and for Jen letting me wear hers. My mom would've hated it, but my feet thanked me, and it was so much easier to dance around! And dance we did. The music was only ok tho. But we still danced! and it was HOT in thurrr let me tell ya. In all the pics everyone is rosy and sweaty! I got to dance with a couple nice guys too, so that was cool. I couldn't sleep that night which stunk b/c I had to go to work at 8am... I really wanted to call in but I didn't. Saturday night was the infamous DL party with my ladies... not really much I can say, what happened there stays there! and then SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY... the Colts won the Superbowl!!
MY TEAM WON! IT'S TRUE!
oh how sweet it is. there has been a Colts frenzy for a few weeks now, and it was no different on Saturday, or today. I gotta go get me some more Colts gear like everyone else in this state. WOOT!
so my friends and I have been affectionately calling this weekend the best weekend ever!!
